Bentleys VPN Setup
This guide will take you through the
process of installing the Bentleys VPN client, configuring the settings and
connecting/disconnecting the client.
The new VPN is software based and is no
longer created and managed through Windows, it is easy to setup and manage with
the access now linked directly to your Bentleys account, albeit with a password
allocated by IT.

1. Open an Internet browser and navigate to https://vpn.adel.bentleys.com.au:9000/
3. Logon using the username and password supplied by IT
4. On the download page, select
the GlobalProtect agent that is most
appropriate to your version of Windows (Either
32 or 64 bit), or Mac users can
download the Mac agent
NOTE: If you are unsure
what version of Windows you have install the 32bit option
5. Either save and run or just run the download to start the install process
6. Click Next on the first screen
7. Click Next on the next screen
8. Click Next on the next screen
9. Click Close to finish the installation
10. Once installed the VPN Panel
will appear, enter the following details into the fields
a. Portal: vpn.adel.bentleys.com.au:9000
b. Username: username
c. Password: password
11. Once done click Connect to test the connection, you
will receive a server certificate prompt, click Continue
12. The client should then show the
Status as Connected
13. Test the Terminal Server shortcut at this point to ensure that you not only get prompted for your username and
password (Using your normal Bentleys credentials) but that it connects and
loads the Terminal Server desktop.
Connecting the VPN Client
1. You will find the GlobalProtect VPN client in the system tray within Windows, you may
need to click the Arrow on the task
bar before you can see it
2. Right click on the globe and
select Show Panel
3. Click Connect and wait for the Status to show Connected before using the Terminal Server
4. When you have finished you can
either click Disconnect on the VPN
Window or find the icon in the system tray, right click and choose Disconnect
